Since 1973 Agape has been at the forefront of bathroom architecture, offering solutions for the most intimate room in the domestic landscape.
AGAPE
Founded in 1973 in Mantua, Italian region of Lombardy, Agape has shaped the evolution of the modern bathroom by treating it as an integral part of domestic architecture rather than a separate utility. The brand is celebrated for its refined material sensibility, fluid forms, and collaborations with leading designers, creating collections that merge Italian craft with a distinctly international perspective.
01. Agape
Agape was born from the vision of the Benedini family, who set out to redefine how the bathroom could be experienced — less a closed-off service space, more a place for wellbeing, beauty, and reflection. From the 1970s onward, the company established itself as a pioneer, partnering with architects and designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Enzo Mari, and Angelo Mangiarotti to create pieces that balance rigor with warmth. Always attentive to sustainability and evolving lifestyles, Agape has steadily expanded the vocabulary of bathroom design, making it a true cultural space within the home.
02. History
The Agape portfolio spans bathtubs, washbasins, furniture, mirrors, lighting, and accessories, unified by an architectural coherence and tactile richness. Iconic designs like the Spoon XL tub, the Vieques collection, and the In-Out series exemplify the brand’s ability to combine sculptural form with everyday usability. Each piece is produced in Italy, with a focus on longevity, material integrity, and flexible customization, allowing Agape bathrooms to adapt to diverse interiors while maintaining their unmistakable identity.
The Agape line is made entirely in Italy with high quality raw materials, carefully crafted detail and efficient and environmentally friendly production processes, as confirmed by its LEED certification.
