Edra at the Winter Olympics: Casa Italia, Milano Cortina 2026
Since the 2016 Rio Olympics, Tuscan furniture maker Edra has been a recurring partner of Italy's National Olympic Committee, furnishing Casa Italia — the country's central hub for athletes, dignitaries, and guests at each Games. The collaboration has continued through PyeongChang (2018), Tokyo (2021), and Paris (2024). For Milano Cortina 2026, Edra returns once more.
This year's Casa Italia unfolds across three venues — the Triennale Milano, Galleria Farsetti Arte in Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the Aquagranda sports centre in Livigno — each interpreted through the theme of Musa, celebrating Italy's enduring role as a source of creative inspiration to the world.
The Grinza White

To mark the occasion, Edra has released a special edition of the Campana Brothers' iconic Grinza armchair. Handcrafted in white eco-fur, the Grinza White evokes the softness of Alpine snow translated into warm, sculptural comfort. It joins a curated selection of Edra's most expressive pieces across the three venues — including Francesco Binfaré's Pack sofa, complete with its signature polar bear perched on an iceberg, and a vivid installation of Masanori Umeda's Getsuen floral chairs, blooming through the halls of the Triennale like a garden in a gallery.

Edra's pieces live in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Met, the Centre Pompidou, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. That a furniture company born in a Tuscan workshop in 1987 now represents Italian culture at the Olympic Games speaks to something essential about what Edra does: it treats furniture not as decoration, but as an expression of national identity — craft, innovation, and beauty woven together.
