Bespoke Italian kitchens in natural stone, wood, and metal — fully configurable and made to order in the Veneto. Discover The Cut at Salone, Las Vegas.

THE CUT

The Cut occupies a clear position in the Italian kitchen market: fully bespoke, made to order in the Veneto, and rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi — a worldview that finds beauty in imperfection, natural materials, and the passage of time. Applied to a kitchen, that means stone, wood, and metal surfaces that show their character; configurations that adapt to the space and the people in it; and an overall design language that resists trends in favor of something quieter and more permanent.

01. The Cut

The Cut was founded by architect Alessandro Isola and entrepreneur Fabio Setten an ambition: to build a kitchen brand with a genuine design philosophy behind it, not just a product range.

The brand is manufactured in the Veneto, one of Italy's most important regions for precision craft production, where a tradition of skilled woodworking and material knowledge underpins every piece that leaves the factory. Every kitchen is fully made to order — specified to the space, the client, and the project from the ground up.

The design philosophy The Cut built the brand around is Wabi-Sabi: a Japanese concept that recognizes beauty in materials at their most honest — the grain of natural wood, the variation in stone, the patina that develops over time. In the context of a high-end kitchen, that translates not to roughness but to depth: surfaces and finishes that reward close attention, that look different in morning light than in evening light, and that become more interesting the longer you live with them. The Cut has since earned recognition across the industry, including the 2024 Archiproducts Design Award and the Architizer A+ Award for its VITAE collection.

02. History

The Cut's collections are united by a few signatures: the sliding, rotating island that reconfigures the space; surfaces in natural stone, wood veneer, and metal sourced from exclusive quarries with vein-matched cutting; and made-to-order specification down to the finish and gloss level. What changes from collection to collection is the role the kitchen plays — from compact, pared-back forms to fully open environments that merge with the living area.

ORIGINE (2024 Archiproducts Design Award — Kitchens)
The most recent major collection from The Cut, and the winner of the Archiproducts Design Award in Milan in November 2024. ORIGINE works in natural wood and stone, using vertical cuts and textured surfaces to create movement through light and shadow across the day. The result is a kitchen that looks different at 8am than it does at 8pm, with a material presence that anchors the entire room.

VITAE (2024 Architizer A+ Award winner)
VITAE is built around the idea of shared space — a kitchen that works as a place of gathering as much as a place of cooking. Clean lines, infinite modularity, and intelligent integrated storage that settles quietly into the composition. The Architizer jury recognized it specifically for the way its storage solutions are woven into the design. Light, harmonious, and thoroughly considered.

ETEREA
Stone, wood, and metal in a composition centered on the round island table — The Cut's most iconic recurring element. Light runs along its vertical walls; the geometry is precise and the materials are richly tactile. An integrated porphyry sink sits flush with the worksurface, and the island anchors the room. ETEREA is the collection for spaces where the kitchen is meant to be the architectural statement.

NATIVIA
The collection that reaches furthest into open-plan living — a kitchen designed to extend naturally toward the living area and, where the space allows, outdoors. Elegant, pared-back, and fully customizable, NATIVIA is built for the kind of home where the kitchen and the living room are one and the same.

03. The Cut Collection

The Cut is built to move — a sliding, rotating island at its center, surfaces drawn from exclusive quarries and matched vein to vein, every configuration made to order. Architecture that happens to be a kitchen.
