RIMADESIO
Founded in 1956 in Brianza, Italy, Rimadesio transforms spaces through innovative glass and aluminum systems, approaching architecture as a language of systems, movement, and spatial definition. The brand engineers integrated solutions where materials and precision mechanics become tools for transforming how we inhabit space.
Transparency and division exist in perfect balance—spaces can be separated without feeling closed, organized without appearing cluttered. This is Rimadesio's essential philosophy: interiors defined not by walls, but by thoughtfully designed sequences.
01. Rimadesio
Founded in 1956 in Brianza, Italy's design and manufacturing heartland, Rimadesio has never pursued furniture in the traditional sense. Instead, the company focused on systems, structures, and spatial transitions.
Through decades of research into glass and aluminum engineering, Rimadesio evolved from a regional workshop into a global reference for architectural interior systems. The partnership with architect and designer Giuseppe Bavuso, who has shaped the entire collection since 1986, gave Rimadesio its singular design identity — one of the most enduring designer-company collaborations in Italian design.
Today, Rimadesio still remains a family-owned company headquartered in Brianza, where every system is engineered and manufactured to exacting Italian standards.
02. History
Rimadesio's collections transform residential and commercial interiors through modular systems engineered for seamless integration and flawless function. Every product is designed by Giuseppe Bavuso.
Walk-In Closets
The Zenit system — Rimadesio's signature walk-in closet, first introduced in 1998 — features floor-to-ceiling aluminum uprights with freely positionable accessories: hanging rods, pull-out shelves, organizers, trouser racks, and shoe storage. Available with glass shelves and drawers in the Ecolorsystem lacquered palette, or in wood finishes of coal larch, grey oak, and elm. The Cover system adds hinged glass doors with magnetic closure for a more enclosed wardrobe, also available as Cover Freestanding — a self-supporting closet requiring no built-in construction. The Dress Bold walk-in closet offers an alternative aesthetic with fabric and leather finishes.
Sliding Doors & Partitions
Rimadesio offers one of the most extensive sliding door collections in Italian design. Velaria — slim aluminum frames with large custom glass panels — is the geometric benchmark of the range. Sail combines glass with walnut or heat-treated oak veneer for a warmer, furniture-like presence. Daimon, inspired by traditional Japanese partitions, layers vertical aluminum ribs over silk-screened glass for a graphic, architectural effect.
Storage & Day Systems
The Modulor boiserie system — custom-made wall paneling with suspended shelves, glass display cabinets, storage units, and integrated LED lighting — bridges the gap between furniture and architecture. Zenit also functions as a modular bookcase for living areas. Self Plan offers wall-suspended compositions for living rooms and home offices, integrating seamlessly into the Modulor system.
Materials & Finishes
Every Rimadesio system is customizable through an extensive material palette: clear, frosted, and lacquered glass in dozens of Ecolorsystem colors (matte and glossy); aluminum frames in multiple finishes; wood, fabric, leather, and Litech surfaces. This flexibility ensures each installation integrates precisely with the architecture it inhabits.
03. The Rimadesio Collection
With every surface, every detail, Rimadesio asks: What if walls were no longer walls?
